Explanation of Some Parameters of Coated Glass

E value: emissivity

Radiance refers to the ratio of far-infrared radiation transmitted through glass to incident far-infrared radiation. The lower the emissivity, the more heat is reflected back through the film layer, and the better the insulation effect. ( E=0.0129R-6.7-5R2)。

K value (U value)

It refers to the heat transfer through 1 square meter of insulating glass per unit time under stable heat transfer conditions, with a temperature difference of 1 ℃ between the air on both sides of the glass, expressed in W/m2K. The lower the K value, the better the insulation performance of the insulating glass, and the more significant the energy-saving effect.

G value

The G-value is the solar energy gain value (shading coefficient). It is used to measure the total transmittance of solar energy. The lower the G value required in the southern region, the better, while the higher the G value required in the northern region, the better.

Several common membrane structures

Sunshine control film/TS, TE series

Characteristics:

1. Easy to produce, difficult to control color difference, poor chemical stability;

2. Color: Silver white, blue, and brown;

3. Transmittance: 10-40%;

4. G value: 0.2~0.5.

Characteristics:

3. Transmittance: 8-20%;

4. G value: 0.2~0.3.

Characteristics:

1. High cost and wear-resistant;

2. Color: Silver white, blue, gold, and brown;

3. Transmittance: 8-20%;

4. G value: 0.2~0.3.

Sunshine control film/heat treatable film system

Characteristics:

1. High cost and wear-resistant;

2. Color: Silver white, gray

Color, blue, green, and brown;

3. Transmittance: 8-40%;

4. Can be tempered and the color will not change.

Standard Low-E film

Characteristics:

1. Transmittance: 83%;

2. E value:< 0.06;

3. G value: 0.55~0.6.

Sunshine Low-E film

Characteristics:

1. Transmittance: 48%;

2. E value:< 0.1;

3. G value: 0.5~0.55

Temperable Low-E film

Characteristics:

1. Transmittance: 82%;

2. Colors: Silver white, gray, brown, blue, and green;

3. E value:< 0.06;

4. G value: 0.55~0.6.

Double silver Low-E film

Characteristics:

1. Transmittance: 75%;

2. E value:< 0.04;

3. G value: 0.4~0.5.
